There were no jobs like we know today. The first writing systems were developed in this time and the invention of the wheel. A dozen city states were established and the Sumerian were the first to use bronze, create levees, and canals for irrigation. Greece became a major hub along the Mediterranean and a 100 years later the Minoans were trading and exported timber, olive oil, wine, and dye to Egypt, Syria, Cyprus, and the Greek mainland. They imported metals and other raw materials, tin, irvory, and precious stones. So, there were people who were sailors, ship builders, traders, farmers, scribes, builders/ construction, stone cutters, Warriors, miners, blacksmiths, government workers, road construction, postal workers, makers of carts and wheels dye makers, leather workers, spinning wool , making clothing, slaves buying and selling. These are just a few jobs.
