well a lorikeet is a rare tropical bird that lives in north Australia and all it eats is nectar and juice but mostly nectar lorikeets are verry messy you half to clean its cage ever single day and scrub it and at knight you got to cover their cage so they do not scream also you can not feed it to much proteen but if you feed it graps and Oranges do it once a week or they can pass out and dye they are verry high maintnence birds but when they are babys they can be verry loud with a giant screach these birds are not for kids they would be more for adults beacause of the claning and feeding it is verry hard to keeep them alive. but their is not just a lorikeet their is also a lori a lori is diffrent beacause a lorikeet is from the parakeet family but they are nothing alike . but if you buy a lorikeet i would buy it for someone who is at home and does not have alot of animals but you need a lot of bird experence and alot of time or they can get verry nasty they are tropical birds and love being outside but do not let it be living outside.

Anywhere from 40 - 200 dollars. It's best to get one that isn't as cheap, preferably from a breeder, as a cheep bird is likely from a breeder that hasn't put much work into keeping the bird healthy or taming it. Do your homework and check out local breeders for reliability.
Lorikeet Lovebird Lapwing Lark Lyrebird
A very colorful bird, great personality! All bird lovers, use seed as treats and feed your birds pellets. They make some kinds of pellet food that is really colorful. and while not tasty for us it smells great! (yes I tried it because if I am going to feed it to my kids I have to be able to eat it myself) This bird is a one owner bird. If you have a big family it might be skiddish to all but one owner. If you have two kids you should get one of these for each, (kids over 10)
