depends on the year but mostly the newer ones call for the orange colored coolant. Go to a parts house and buy it
um proboaly 10W30

Green coolant (prestone, etc)
you will need car model,year and engine size to get the correct waterpump with that information any auto store will supply the right one
DEX Cool
dex-cool coolant is used in most 3.1 engines,
A 1997 Jeep uses green coolant.
Any rated brand of 5W-30 conventional or synthetic will be fine.
The green stuff
dex-cool is made for Chevy vehicles but prestone has a universal coolant that works too.
A 1997 Chevy Cavalier uses a standard 50/50 mix of antifreeze coolant and water. This keeps the engine from overheating and from freezing in the winter.
Either universal green or red ELC (extended life coolant), depending on what engine it has.
