Quite bad, the American occupation has increased violence and decreased the standard of living.

Many of the skilled/rich people who can afford it have left the country to flee from the violence.

The kurds in the north have set up an autonomous region, its only a matter of time before they go independent.

Utilities are still sporadic, if the violence continues improvement is unlikely.

The American occupation has killed an confirmed 120,000 (in addition to the pre-war mortality rate) with the maxinum being 1,200,000 (note that bodies can be uncounted, and that body counting is neither safe nor desireable). PLease note that 120,000 is the minimum, the heavy ordinaces of the US Army leaves little to count.

So the bottom line is, America screwed up, they murdered (only self-defense is justified and the Iraq War wasn't) 1,200,000 people including their own who have family and friend but since they have the media on their side they'll be the saints.

The country will likely slide into anarchy as neither Saudi Arabia nor Iran wants a revived Iraq beside them and will likely try to destabilize the country.

The current government has 30% of its council on foreign payrolls, the council was choosen on the person' ethnicity and that's it makes its decision in secret, hires only those voting for them, and is essentially an aristocracy backed by USMC steel.

Americans won't care since only American lives (and not the minorities that make up 40% of the army) matter and as long as Iraq's oil flows on time.
