Penicillin is found in milk if the dairymen have decided to treat a cow who has an infection with penicillin. However, any self respecting dairy farmer will follow the directions on the label and dump the milk for at least 14 days after the last treatment, then use a beta-lactam test to see if there are any antibiotics still in the milk. Milk should not be collected into the bulk tank unless the dairy farmer is absolutely positive it is free of antibiotics.
