The border collie is very calm and grows attached to you almost instantly. This dog will most likely stare at the cat. You will be able to train it not to bark (if it does) at the cat or at anything else. I've got one and she is very pleasing. She always wants to do the right thing and border collies won't run away because they love their owners so much.
