There is a wonderful answer in this URL: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_there_Vitamin_B12_in_fruit_or_vegetables Quote: "Vitamin B12 -- The Jury Is Still Out There is no Vitamin B12 in fruits or vegetables. There is controversy over this, of course. Many people say that the only foods which contain Vitamin B12 are animal-derived foods. This also is untrue. No foods naturally contain Vitamin B12 -- neither animal or plant foods. Vitamin B12 is a microbe -- a bacteria -- which is produced by microorganisms. Vitamin B12 is the only vitamin that contains a trace element -- cobalt -- which give this vitamin its chemical name, cobalamin, which is at the center of its molecular structure. Humans and all vertebrates require cobalt, although it is assimilated only in the form of Vitamin B12. If you want to take Vitamin B12, be sure you know how much you need for your body size and don't overdose on it. Get more information from a homeopath or from your medical doctor. Fruits and vegetables do not contain Vitamin B12. Strangely enough, though, if you are in the habit of eating unwashed veggies, these may contain small amounts of B12, as it is produced by microbes found in soil. However, it is possible to get Vitamin B12 from vegetarian sources, such as yeast and seaweed. It was thought that these foods contain a type of B12 that cannot be absorbed by the human body. However, new research indicates that humans can, in fact, absorb the types of cobalamin found in these foods. Recent research has also found out that the absorption of B12 from dairy and meat is much poorer than it was thought to be. As a result, a large part of the population is suffering from a B12 deficiency, even though they include plenty of animal-based foods in their diet. Since most of us don't eat a perfect diet, we miss out on some important vitamins and minerals. Having just become a vegan after being a vegetarian for many years, I was concerned about the B12 issue. There are many sublingual supplements on the market you can take to ensure you are getting enough B12. I suggest sublingual, as the body does not absorb it well enough via the stomach and liver. With sublingual, it goes right into the bloodstream. No, the best source for Vitamin B12 is liver. It can also be found in soymilk, soybeans, eggs, clams, salmon, crab, milk, dairy products, and more."

No vegetables contain vitamin B-12 that humans can digest. Some like soy have a form of B-12, but not one that the body can use. Vegans and vegetarians generally need to supplement to stay healthy for this reason. Vitamin B-12 transdermal patches are generally the easiest and most efficient way to ensure that you are getting all the B-12 you need.

Is the bloom or yeast coating on fruit a source of B12?

yes....bloom or yeast coating on a fruit a source of vitamen B12 The bloom on fruit used to be thought of as wild yeast cells but we now know that it is a waxy covering found on the cells of the skin. Vitamin B12 is usually found in meat, eggs and dairy products. Supplements and fortified foods are another source. Algae, miso and some other soy products have been reported to have B12 but it is not in a significant amount. Our bodies do make vitamin B12 in our intestines but the production location is far below the absorption location.

Not sure about b12, but anything that is considered a "base" such as milk, tums, or other antiacids will increase absorption of adderall. Anything acidic, such as citrus, fruit juices, ect. will decrease absorption and weaken the overall effect of the drug.
