If you check your owners manual it will tell you what gas you should used on your vehicle. For most part most vehicle are issue a 87 octane or above. Only high performance vehicles used 93 octane and above. You can used any gas you prefer too. The higher the octane the better the car will run. That's just my two cents.
it can damage your car. your gas tank is just a tank with gas, it's kind of hard to damage it.

What kind of plastic gas tank. -If on a road-going vehicle, beware of insurance issues with repairing a gas tank ( to say nothing of possible fire due to gas leakage)

for this type of vehicle it is kind of tricky what you need to do is open the driver door then bend down and pull the lever that has the gas tank icon.
Its located next to the gas tank on the back side. Your going to have to lower the gas tank you cant miss it. Its kind of goldish and its about half the size of a beer can
Add 1 bottle of ordinary rubbing alcohol to the tank. If The Bad gas is just gas that has water in it, then the alcohol will allow the water to "burn" with the gas. == == The best way to do it is kind of a pain. Take the tank off and dump the bad gas out. While the tanks off would be a good time to flush it out too. You can use a ordinary garden hose and siphone the gas out of the tank.

You can stop a leaking gas tank, by making a paste of soap on the hole of the gas tank.
in the gas tank . you probly need another person to help. i did mines by myself its not a hole lot of work and its not hard but if tank has gas init itll be kind of heavy.
The fuel pump is in the gas tank, and you will have to remove the gas tank to access it.
