Use oil made for motorcycles, (due to high heat, high rpm, clutch and transmission). Honda GN4 10W40 at Honda MC stores are an excellent choice. If not available use oil that on the bottle says it is made for MC (clutch&tranny) and is API SE,SH,SG approved 10W40. If SJ make sure it is also MA approved. If nothing like this is available where you live you can substitute car oil API SE,SH,SG 10W40, however make sure it is without friction modifiers and it is NOT energy conserving. No need for expensive synthetic, premium mineral oil made for MC is plenty good. Recommend Honda GN4 10W40, should be available at any Honda MC store.
Use a chain wax, not an oil. Any kind would do just make sure not to use an corrosive materials like WD-40.
