Its VTEC, not vtech. Remove it with the 3 10mm bolts that hold it in place. Install a new gasket from Honda. It costs ~$12. Install the VTEC solenoid back in place using only your wrist for torque, not your arm. Be careful as you make break the bolt.
It should tell you on the oil cap you remove to add the oil. My Civic DX uses 5W 30.
