Theodor Seuss Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss, Ted Geisel, and Theo LeSieg), Seuss was born on March 2nd, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts near Mulberry Street. Seuss was a American writer, poet, and a cartoonist. He wrote one of my favorite books The Lorax, The Cat in the Hat, And To Think That I Saw On Mulberry Street, Horton Hatches the Egg, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Horton Hears a Who!, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, and Green Eggs and Ham. His parents were German but he was born in America. He died at the age of 87, after a prolonged bout with jaw cancer.
