Any GM vehicle should use Dexron/Mercon III Transmission Fluid. There is a newer version of it called Dex/Merc IV, but I haven't seen it at many places. I think you actually have to ask for it if you want it. It's all new & improved just like everything else you buy. Any brand of Dexron/Mercon should work fine.

Their is no such thing as a transmission fluid reservoir. All the fluid is in the transmission, the lines, and the cooler. You check the fluid with the dip stick, located near the fire wall, red handle, drivers side. Engine running-warm, in park or neutral. Check it several times to make sure of accurate reading.
