up to build date 02/16/92 was AOD. from 02/17/92 on was AODE (AOD-"Electronic") until switch to beefed up AODE-W {for wide-ratio}"4R70W" in 1995 model year. Gear ratios for AODE were same as AOD, just changover to electronic control from throttle-valve cable control.
IMPORTANT NOTE: SHIFT QUADRANT FOR 1992 AODE WAS SAME AS AOD DUE TO NO "OverDrive Cancel Switch" BEING INTRODUCED UNTIL 1993 MODEL YEAR PRODUCTION!
Dexron 3, or 4 works just fine.

Should be type F. Just check with your local auto parts. They now have dexron for all models.
