More then likely, a burnt out fuse, or all the bulbs at the same time,(but not a usual occurrence) or a bad connector OR burnt out panel in the cluster
No The dash with gages will not work due to the engine sensors are different from gages to lights. I have changed 4 of my Chevrolet Celebrities from idiot lights to gages. The gage cluster is a direct fit, the voltage gage will work with no alteration. The temp sensor is readily changeable by purchasing the proper sensor for your car. The fuel gages are the same.
Probably the "gauge" fuse is blown. The dash lights are a completely separate circuit.
Check the fuses.
Yes.
all other lights on car work ,just no dash lights, could it be a fuse?
under your dash there should be a fuse for your instrument cluster. that is probably the problem.
CHECK THE FUSE PANEL DASH & TAIL LIGHTS WORK FROM SAME FUSE
Check your fuse. Usually the manufacturer has the dash lights and the tail lights on the same circuit.
The first check would be the fuse for the dash lights. If the dash lights are out too then it is likely to be the fuse.
have you tried turning the ouside dial on headlight switch that dims the gages bright or dull had a similar problem with 98 corvette no dash lights or hvac or running lights turned out to be multi function switch (headlights turnsignals)
Headlight switch (IT) controls the dash lights ALSO.Some have a fuseable link..ASSUMEING all the bulbs are g00d..
in dash lights
