my first thought is the brake pads are warn out. pull the front wheels check the pads and rotors. your question was car stoped foot on brake in drive, CAR SHAKES i would say that the car is missfireing, bad plug ? bad wire? bad coil pack? or mabey a BURNT VALVE? Good luck I just had that problem and I replaced the master brake cilinder and it stop shaking. try that. it shakes because of the anti lock brake system.
Disk brake rotor is warped
Car shakes when I put the brake check
It's not so much the "car shaking" as it is feedback through your foot from the brake hydraulic system. YOU are shaking -- at least your foot is -- and you're assuming that it's the car. Most likely, your car is equipped with disc brakes on the front, possibly on the rear also. Disc brake rotors warp. It usually happens due to overheating, but it can be the result of a manufacturing defect. The "thumping" effect is a real attention-getter!
If a car shakes during acceleration the brake rotors may be damaged. If the rotors are damaged they will be unstable as the tires rotates making the whole car shake.
yes if your foot is run over
brake caliper is sticking due to faulty caliper or rubber brake hose.
The brake is broken?
Replace universal joint on rear of driveshaft
if a car ran over your foot would it brake because your foot has bones in it and they are very sneaative?
The power brake booster has a massive vacuum leak.
Remove the brake rotor and have it checked at a reputable auto parts retailer. Rotors often warp with age, especially if they have been overheated.
