The distinction between a Jpeg or a bitmap is the format in which the image is saved. The difference is due to the algorithm used to record and store the data. Most graphics programs and scanner software are capable of saving files in either format, or converting from one to another.
No. A bitmap is any image which is made up of individual dots (like in a newspaper or on a TV screen). JPEG stands for the Joint Photographic Experts Group, and is a method of compressing bitmap images so that they become smaller files. So, for example, an uncompressed image in TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) image of 100MB, might be only 25MB in size after conversion to a compressed JPEG file.
The size of a JPEG file depends on the compression algorithm and on the content of the source image. There is no direct answer to you question. What you can do to find it out is to capture the screen, then use mspaint to save the file as a bitmap and after that convert the bitmap to a jpeg using an image converter that allows you to play with the jpeg parameters - for example AZImage. JPEG is a bitmap file type. There are many bitmap file types but JPEG is the one which uses the least amount of memory. However, JPEG image file sizes can be changed by how they are saved in the data loss compression feature which JPEG uses.
I think the easiest way is to open the jpeg in Paint and save it as a bitmap.
if u hav windows, right click on the image and click on open with then, click on paintOn paint, click on file, save as, and sava the image in jpeg format on save as type, which is usually below the file name.
Jpeg files are smaller than bitmap files, though bitmap files are much better quality.
Wpostx is the format used by Windows Live Writer. As such it is a text format which does not lend itself to conversion to a bitmap image format such as JPEG.
The image on the sensor isn't any image format, when this analogue data is put through the A/D converter and saved they are saved in a bitmap container (Jpeg and Raw (NEF, CR2, PEF Etc.) are all bitmap formats) all images are either a bitmap or a vector graphic, out of the camera they are bitmap, but the data in the file can be opened as a Vector Graphic in some programs.
A Bitmap is a file you can save pictures as like JPEG or PNG, in photoshop it means save the picture as a bitmap
JPEG and BMP image types use different programs and algorithms to record and store the data. The BMP (bitmap) is the older format while the JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) format is more recent. One difference between a JPEG and a BMP file is that the bitmap file is larger in size. This is due to the JPEG file being compressed which in turn causes a loss in picture quality.
TIFF is larger
BMP, JPEG, JPG, JPE, JFIF, PNG, APNG, TIFF, TIF, PCX, TGA, RAS, PSD, CR2, CRW, RAF, DNG, MEF, NEF, ORF, ARW, EMF, WMF, JPEG 2000, and SWF.
Right click on the picture in web browser and select Save Picture as... to save the picture. If the picture can be saved only as bmp, then the picture is not a jpeg image. If it was ajpeg image, you can specify the target format as either jpeg or bmp.
