Skills are at the basic level reduced to a technical matter or an "art" or intuitive skill. A technical skill means that if you adjust the dials and settings of a well maintained machine exactly as the instructions say int will work well, an art means that you must understand the purpose of what you are doing on amy levels including aesthetic, cultural levels and many minor corrections to adjust for unpredictable events to (usually) arrive at the desired result. In teaching you cannot simply teach the required materials based on an "average" student of the required number of hours to achieve the desired result (the technically correct way). A teacher needs to make it an art by interesting the students by cultivating their interest, reordering the material to meet their needs and spend the required time and effort to provide the students with the best chance to learn and succeed.

Teaching is considered an art because effective educators craft dynamic lesson plans, adapt to diverse learning styles, and inspire curiosity and critical thinking in students. Successful teachers possess creativity, empathy, and the ability to connect with their students on a personal level to motivate and engage them in the learning process.
