What makes up Congress?
Congress is made up of two houses, the house of representatives and the senate. Congresses job is to make laws. congress is the legislative branch.
Within the United States it is Congress that makes the laws for our country. The Congress is made up of the Senate and the House of Representatives. After congress makes the law, it goes on to the president who can veto it,ignore it, or pass it. Finally, this law goes to the judicial branch and they see if it is constitutional or not.
As a group Congress has more power than the president since it makes the law. However Congress is made up of 535 individuals who have their own minds and often can not agree on what to do and so do nothing decisive. The president has only one mind to make up and a persuasive president can get Congress to act in the ways he wants them to go.
