Cars have a total of four wheel bearings, one on each wheel. The wheel bearings are designed to help the wheels spin. Many cars have two wheel bearings per wheel, an inner and an outer located in each hub/bearing assembly.

How do gears change the speed of something?

Same way as any gear set does. If you have a large wheel(more teeth) driving a smaller wheel(fewer teeth), then the smaller wheel will spin faster, but with less force. If you have a small wheel driving a big wheel, then the big wheel will spin slower but stronger.

I got some Shake Junt OG's and got the worker to put them in. My friend's spun for around 40 seconds straight out of the box and mine only spin 10. My old bearings spin the same 10 seconds. Help?

This could be a result of the bolt on the wheel being too tight. try to loosen the bolt just a little bit. Too much friction will cause the wheel to spin slower, and too little friction will cause it to spin too freely. if this doesnt help, try to ride them for a while, and break them in.

Why is your tire loose after replacing wheel bearings?

Make sure the nut that holds the bearing in place is properly adjusted. When you tighten it the wheel should spin free but you should no be able to wiggle it.

Can driving with bad wheel bearings ruin the spindle?

Driving with bad bearings is generally a bad idea. If the bearing seizes solid, (usually) the inner race will begin to spin on the axle, damaging the bearing seat.

Is it good to have grease on your bearings for your skateboard?

ON your bearings is entirely pointless. But it can do some good IN your bearings. The kind of bearings used in skateboards do need some sort of lubrication. It can be either oil or grease. Oil does make the bearing spin a little easier, but doesn't stay in the bearing very well. If you run oil you need to relube fairly often, or run the risk of trashing the bearings. Grease will spin a little slower, but it'll stay in place better. You can go longer between cleans and lubes. Your choice. Me, I use grease, but a fairly small amount. Means I don't lose that much spin, and the bearings will survive rolling through an occasional puddle. Speaking from personal experience where my step dad was trying to be nice and grease my bearring for me so I would have a smoother ride. No. If it is just a normal wheel grease it is not good. It will give you a smoother and quitter ride, but be expecting to go much slower and getting much more leg exercise from pushing.

What does pedalling mean on the show Pinks?

Peddling is the art of letting off the accelerator to stop wheel-spin when the tires break loose, and then getting right back on the gas when the tires hook up. Tire spin is not what you want when drag racing. Wheel spin equates to loss of traction and slower elapsed times.
