If you KNOW for sure that you installed it correctly Then you probley have a air pocket in the water jacket / air locked.
Run engine with radiator cap off for a while, being sure that the engine does not over heat/ watch Temp. Gauge.
Add coolant as needed.
Have you flushed the heater core?
What temp. thermostat did you put in? Try a higher temp. one. or check to see if heater core is clogged
Try the thermostat, second see if the heater core is plugged up if that's not the problem see if the engine is even running hot enough
The heater might blow cold air in a 2000 Silverado because the thermostat is sticking and not changing from cold to heat. The thermostat is usually located in a hose that leads from the radiator to the motor.
I had this problem once with a different vehicle. You may check the heater control. That may be the problem. Hope this helps.
possibly thermostat stuck in the open position?
water pump
im having the same problem with my 1994 I've replaced the heater core, thermostat, radiator,i checked the coolant, and it's not over heating or nothing and still no heat lol
