First of all, The Prophet (PBUH) DID NOT create Islam. Islam is a religion that has been from the very first day and will remain until the end. Different prophets came and they all preached the same thing, but eventually the people did not remain Muslims. They changed their beliefs. So that is why now a days we have so many religions.

Also note: Mohammad was familiar with both Judaism and Christianity; to answer your question; and was informed by God about how both religions were deviated from the righteous monotheism as explained in Quran. Refer to question below.

It is unclear what this question is asking.

If it is asking about which religion Muhammad promulgated, it would be Islam.

If it is asking about which previous religions influenced Muhammad's beliefs, they would be Judaism, Arabian Christian Heresies, and several other Arabian religions.

The Qur'an is a composite of several previously existing traditions that Mohammed merged and aggregated. Probably the most central basis of the Qur'an is Jewish tradition. This does not mean that the Qur'an lifted phrases only from The Bible, but rather that the Qur'an repeated stories or paraphrases of Jewish sources the commented on the Bible and that existed by 500 C.E. -- over 50 years prior to Qur'anic Revelation. Islam also takes a number of its views about Jesus from Early Christian heresies that dominated in Arabia at the time. The most prominent such view is that Jesus was not properly crucified. The most dominant views from the Arabian religions that entered Islam concern the presence of various types of demons, such as the jinn, efrit, maarid, and the ghouls.

Judaism, Christianity, and, obviously, Islam. Islam is just the third installment of Judaism, they share the same book.

What monotheistic religions was Muhammad familiar with before creating Islam?

I'm no scholar, so I can't say whether or not Prophet Muhammad knew a lot about the monotheistic faiths of his time, or was "familiar" with them. I can say he was at least aware of the only two monotheistic religions around, Judaism and Christianity, just as Jesus was aware of the only monotheistic religion of his time, Judaism.

What montheistic religions was mohammed familiar with before creating Islam?

Almighty God sent almost 125,000 Prophets for the guidance of mankind. Hazrat Adam (AS) was the first and the Last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (May peace be upon him) was the last. So, the Last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (May peace be upon him) didn't 'CREATE Islam. It was already there. The monotheistic religions already in Arabia were Judaism and Christianity. He was familiar with neither of these two religions because most of the Makkans were idol worshipers. He lived in Makka. He was not an educated person. He didn't know how to read and write. It was Almighty God Who chose him as Prophet and commanded him to preach Islam.

Who is the father of the major monotheistic religions?

Judaism, Islam, and Christianity would all seem to stem from Abraham (Torah, Bible are sources I'm familiar with.) Abraham's indiscretion with his wife's maidservant (impatient that he "couldn't have children with his wife) lead to Hagar/Ishmael) and the source of the Islamic nations.

What should you be familiar with when creating an original extension to a play?

How do indigenous religions have so much in common?

Most religions we think of as indigenous are animistic religions, involving worship of spirits that inhabit familiar objects in the landscape and the heavens. These beliefs arose in similar fashion across the world. Many animistic religions gradually adopted the roles of shamans, to lead worship and rituals. When religions evolved into more sophisitcated forms, they tended to diversify away from their similar origins.
