Sebrights wont always go broody, but most of the ones I've had have. They'll start laying between 6 - 9 months, but likely won't begin to brood until they're over a year old and getting the whole "hen" thing down to an art. :) Do you mean by "quality" like the show quality-ness? If you want to know if your birds are show quality, your best bet would be to join a 4-H club, and also the Sebright association for your state or region. Do some research at shows, see what is winning. Helping your chickens lay more would be feeding them a good layer food, oyster shell and making sure they get plenty of sunlight or artificial light.
bantam chickens eat the same stuff as regular chickens such as corn, layer pellets or mash and of course bugs! as baby's bantam chickens may need to be on mash longer then the regular chickens and you will have too show them how to drink by dipping their beak in the water dish gently.
No
Not all Polish hens are bantam. Polish chickens are available in Standard and Bantam sizes. Most popular breeds of chickens are available in a bantam form. Some obvious exception to this are Jersey Giant and Brahma.
A bantam chicken is much smaller than a normal chicken and thus easier to keep as a pet. Bantam chickens are also available in brighter, more exotic colors than normal chickens thus making them more desireable for show purposes. See the Related Linksbelow for more information on bantam chickens.
Bantam chickens eat the same foods as regularly sized chickens. Many people enjoy keeping bantam chickens because they eat far less than regular chickens.
Most chickens live 7-9 years. It really depends on what kind of strain the chickens come from (show quality, production quality), and how the chickens have been raised, and what type of conditions they live in.
Yes, a bantum is a variety of small poultry, particularly chickens. The name is derived from "Bantam", a city in Indonesia.
Crows do not kill animals, they are scavengers, so no, they will not eat bantams.
Yes, although their chicks might have some troubles, and be slightly lethargic.
16-20 weeks old
I have Silkie Chickens who are very broody, they are little bantam chickens that look like little cotton balls.
If you mean can you breed an Auarcana hen and a Bantam rooster without problems the answer is yes. There are even Bantam Auarcana chickens. Bantam only means a size. There are bantam sizes of many different breeds.
