The Ural Mountains and the Caucasus are the two mountain ranges shared by Europe and Asia. Although most likely the largest in Europe, these are not both the largest in Asia. The Himalayas and perhaps the Urals are the two largest in Asia.

There are several major mountain ranges in Europe. The first one that comes to mind are the magnificent Swiss Alps. Other mountain ranges include the Pyrenees and the mountain range that is said to separate Europe from Asia, the Urals.

Both Europe and Asia are located on the same geographical land mass; together called the continent of Eurasia.
