∙ 8y agoEgypt celebrate leylan en nektah. This is when the water rises from the Nile river, and it starts flooding. They celebrate it because if the Nile hadn`t existed, the whole Egypt would be a hot dry desert like the Sahara desert. So basicly, they celebrate the Nile river.

∙ 11y agoThere are a few national holidays celebrated in the country of Egypt. Using the Coptic Calendar, the Egyptians celebrate Christmas on January 7th. January 25th marks the national celebration of the Egyptian Revolution. July 23 is another holiday which marks a secondary Egyptian Revolution. (There are two separate Revolutions, and they celebrate both days.) Other holidays include Labor Day, Armed Forces Day, and Sinai Liberation Day. These are the only holidays marked on the national level. Other holidays are considered public or non-official.
