5W30 Weight in the cold months and 10W30 in the hot months. DON'T use anything heaver then the above are it will burn the valve train up.

Bank 2 is the side of the engine where the #2 spark plug is. On my 99 Silverado it's on the passenger side.
the float in your tank is probably bad, causing inaccurate readings.
195 to 210 degrees is just fine. If any hotter then there is a problem.
Gastroll GTX and Kendell name brands are great oils to use.You must use 5W30 weight oil so the valve train will stay lubricated.10W30 in hot weather.

if your taking about the engine locking up, then it mostly happens because of low or no oil... you might have had an oil leak and lost oil.
