Answer The Bible does not say that the world is round (or spherical). The concept of a firmament, mentioned in Genesis 1:6-8 actually implies a flat earth. By late biblical times, some Greek philosophers had established that the world is round, but this was unknown to the biblical authors.
Answer
Isaiah 40:22 describes the earth as round like a circle: He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
Several other bible passages mention a round world, as well as that it "hangs in space". One can easily Google this and read them. Bible authors new this over 1,000 before Copernicus' famous declaration in 1475.
22 There is One who dwells above the circle of the earth,And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers. He is stretching out the heavens like a fine gauze,And he spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
Isaiah 40:22 indicates a spherical earth.
Also Job 26:7 explains that the earth is suspended in space, the obvious comparison being with the spherical sun and moon.
Proverbs 8:27 could also indicate a spherical earth:
"When He prepared the heavens, I was there, When He drew a circle on the face of the deep",
A sphere -- 3 dimensional, is like a circle -- 2 dimensions, like a round ball. Here is the Scripture:
Isaiah 40:22New International Version (NIV)22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,
and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
The Bible does not say the earth is a sphere. It does refer to it in terms of a circle, which makes sense since the horizon gives the impression of a circular world. It was the Greek philosophers who first established that the earth is round like a sphere.
Isaiah 40:22 states that God “sits above the circle of the earth.” From God’s heavenly perspective – looking down upon the earth, the earth would appear round from every point Above only if it were a sphere. If the earth was a disk, then from most angles above, it would appear as an oval or even a straight line (if perpendicular to the viewer). Therefore, Isaiah 40:22 indicates a spherical earth.
It can be inferred or directly understood in Job 26:7; Isaiah 40:21-22; Proverbs 8:27 and Luke 17:31-34.
I don't think you will find that in the Bible. In time times the Bible was written, it was not generally known that the Earth is spherical.
It doesn't

The new testament.Further thought:The New Testament contains the account of Jesus' life, his fulfillment of prophecy, and his effect on the world. The 'Apostles' were chosen disciples of Christ after he was born on earth(so they were not in the Old Testament). The book of 'Acts' describes the 'deeds or actions' of some of these Apostles in the early days of Christianity
The works of the apostles are listed in The Acts of the Apostles book in the New Testament. It is the fifth book in the New Testament.
