Firing Order VIN "E" 1-2-3-4-5-6
A 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix (with either the 3.1L or 3.8L V6 engine) has 3 coil packs. (Each coil serves 2 cylinders). Note however, the coils for the 3.1L and 3.8L are different.

The ignition coil is down between the firewall and the back of the engine
it doesnt have a distributor cap. it has a coil pack AND...the coil packs are located under the cover on top of the engine.

Check your ignition system/ plugs wires coil or coil packs.
im not sure but if you follow the spark plug wires they will take you to the coil packs
Under the aluminum cover on top of engine there are 2 coil packs-pull them up off of plugs.
A 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee has one ignition coil.
The car has coil packs and does not have a distributor.
The firing order is 1342 and the coil packs are 41 and 32.
