From the first day that Adolf Hitler seized power, January 30, 1933, ..... more than 6 million people, mostly Jews and Poles, were killed in gas chambers. ...

Most notably Jews, but other people as well- The Romani (gypsies to some) Jehovah's Witnesses, Masons, homosexuals, people with disabilities, Soviet prisoners, Soviet civilians, French, Czech, Polish, Belgian, British, and American servicemen and civilians. Frankly, a LOT of people.
- Gypsies
- Bible Students (Now called Jehovah's Witnesses)
- African-Americans
- Homosexuals
- The Mentally Disabled
- The Physically Disabled
- Opposing Political Party Members
- Communists
- Poles (Polish People)
- Russians
- Anyone Who Spoke Badly of the Reich
...Just to name a few.
Hitler also targeted members of the following categories:
Political Prisoners - Social democrats, socialists, trade unionists, Freemasons, communists, and anarchists.
Professional criminals - Convicts, often working in the camps as Kapos.
Foreign forced laborers, emigrants
Jehovah's Witnesses - Also a very small number of pacifists and members of other religious organizations were also imprisoned under this classification.
Sexual offenders - Mostly homosexual men but rarely rapists, zoophiles and paedophiles.
Asocial and "work shy" - The mentally ill, alcoholics, vagrants and beggars, pacifists, conscription resisters, lesbians, prostitutes, some anarchists, drug addicts
Roma (Gypsies) - Previously classified as asocial.
Military prisoners - Enemy POW, spy or a deserter.
There were many other groups that had people killed by Hitler and the Nazis, but the Holocaust was the specific actions against the Jews, therefore there were no other groups killed in the Holocaust. The only other group which suffered similar persecution to the Jews was the gypsies.
The Nazis tried to get rid of any other kind of culture besides there own and killed all of the Jews.
Other groups targeted by the Nazis for destruction included the Romani people, the disabled, political dissidents, homosexuals, and Slavic peoples. These groups were persecuted and murdered as part of the Nazis' efforts to create a "pure" Aryan society.
because they could.
The Nazis condemned Jews and mentally disabled people. They would also condemn certain types of gypsy. There were many other groups persecuted by the Nazis, but they were not condemned.
Gypsies, lesbians, handicapped, Jewish, or anyone who oppsed Hitler. Male homosexuals and soviet pow were a big target
Nazis deliberately killed about 12 millions people, half of them Jews, other large groups of their victims include Roma (Gypsies) and Soviet POWs Millions more died as a result of war they started.
Almost every kind of people besides "Aryans" (Germans, but also Scandinavians, English, Dutch, and some French) were considered inferior. However, besides Jews, the Nazis in particular hated Slavs- Polish, Russians, Serbs, Bosnians, Ukrainians, etc. This is a big part of the reason why Nazi Germany invaded Poland and the Soviet Union- the Nazis wanted to kill or enslave the Slavs, and settle "Aryans" in their lands.
The Nazis killed the Jews for Hitler. In addition, there were many other anti-Semites in occupied Europe who were happy to help in the Holocaust.
All who opposed the Nazis and their allies.
The Nazis wanted to eliminate anyone who did not fit into their vision of a perfect society, (this is different from those who they wanted to kill) these included: 1. some Roma (gypsies), and many other tribes of gypsies. 2. habitual criminals. 3. communists. 4. the mentally handicapped. 5. homosexuals. 6. Jehovah's Witnesses, and other religious groups/leaders who did not support the state. 7. trades unionists. 8. members of opposition/resistance groups.
