Any GM car with the same 8th digit in the VIN.
A bad fuel pump can cause your 1998 Pontiac Grand Am engine to randomly stop running. The fuel pump might be working at times and then at other times not working.
yes it can the car i bought has a 1998 body and trans with a 2005 gtp supercharged engine it will fit. most all Pontiac engines will swap with other Pontiac models same goes with most every other car company.
Not sure about the Corsica, but I know that there are unique differences in some of the parts between a 94 and 96 Grand Am. I was told by a salvage yard once, that the engine in a 96 Grand Am is different than that of any other Grand AM. To summarize, I was thinking of buying a used engine for my 96 and the salvage yard told me that the used engine would absolutely have to come out of another 96.
The Olds Achieva and the Pontiac Grand AM. Not 100% sure about that Pontiac model, but I know it's all the N-body cars. The Pontiac engine works fine just remember to change the exhaust manifold on rear of engine to the old one off buick, if not exhaust system will not line up, also air intake manifold and throttle body need to be changed, not compatable with Pontiac. These things will save you a big head ache, one more mark your cam shaft and crank shaft electric sensors as these are easy to mix up on enignes. Hope this helps!!
The PCV valve is located directly ontop of the engine block and is connected by a rubber hose on one end connected into the engine with the other end you will find it on the lower right (topside) of the engine : D
0.060 - at least from plugs Napa sells. Other plugs may have different gap or have preset gapping
Pontiac Sunbird Pontiac Sunbird
the 2000 Pontiac grand am does not and never has had a 3.8L it only had a 2.4L quad four, 2.2L Ecotec and a 3.4L (optional ram air for i believe 10 horsepower). other cars with the 3.8L include Chevrolet impala, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Pontiac grand prix, Buick regal, Buick lesabre. I think ive got them all i hope this answers and corrects your question
you might wanna chage the plugs and wires. what other symptoms does the car have. i am having the same problem in my 2003 pontiac grand prix gt
If the 3.8 is like all other newer "V" model GM engines, the knock sensors are most likely under the intake.
The Pontiac Grand Prix GXP was released in the year 2005. The GXP is an updated version of previous Pontiac Grand Prix models. The GXP differs from other models because it has a more stylized body.
no different than any other engine, if unsure consult a manual
