it would be easier to use new brake fluid that doesnt trash paint. older brake fluid that trashes paint was made from vegetablr oils, newer fluids are synthetic and have not been detrimental to paint in years, unless you have really crappy paint to start with
yes because brake fluid wont wear out as much No, brake fluid will destroy the seals in the power steering system.
it wont just come out. you need to pump the brake pedal.
Could be, Low on brake fluid, Parking brake not fully retracted, Problem with the brake system, Have a trusted mechanic inspect the brakes soon.
Most likely bad bulb. 3 times it should come on. Turn the key to the on position, car running with brake set, and when fluid is low. The last can be simulated by removing the brake fluid cap from the reservoir and let it hang loose, just use a rag so it wont drip on the paint and peel it. If these 3 fail to get a light you have to remove the console and replace the lamp. Check my other responses for how to accomplish this.
Yes, There are two sets of internal seals and a rear seal. The internal seals can fail and the cylinder will retain the Brake fluid, it just wont work correctly.
Using the incorrect cleaner will stain and ruin the clear coat on the rims.
Check for: low trans fluid parking brake engaged broken or dislodged axle shaft transmission problem
There is a reason why it is on. Check the fluid level, it may be low. This would be an indication that you need to have the brakes checked soon.
paint that wont kill you if you eat it
try and bleed brakes , if that wont work you need a master cylander
1 Make sure the E brake is down 2 Check brake fluid 3 Bleed brakes 4 Make sure all abs sensors are connected 5 Make sure brake fluid is topped off again 6 Check for leaks along the master cylinder, lines, calipers and wheel cylinders
no he wont he is doing alright
