A leopard lives in Asia and Africa while the jaguar lives in the Amazon rainforest. A leopard has rosettes like the jaguar except that they are much smaller and more compact. Often jaguars and leopards are confused because they look so much alike but in fact they are an entirely different species. A jaguar being Panthera Onca and a leopard being Panthera Pardus.
