What do the warning Lights on a Mitsubishi FK417 truck mean?
There are several warning lights that can appear on a Mitsubishi Fk417 truck. For example, if the brake lights come on that means its time to replace the breaks. If an oil symbol comes on it means its time for an oil change. If the service engine soon light comes on that means there needs to be some type of service repair to the engine. It is recommended to take the car to a mechanic as soon as possible.
1986 fk417 6 cylinder diesel truck and after sitting for several hours the oil light is slow to go out the engine has a large oil filter which seems to drain over a a few hours.any ideas thanks Steve?
g'day steve,i have an 89 fk417k with 259,000 klms pretty fresh plus a rebuild as the radiator hose dropped and cooked her... i have noticed the oil light aswell and have come to the conclusion that as the oil sensor is in the oil pick up line, it takes a bit longer for the oil to hit the sensor to knock the light out. if you thin the oil and run a premium oil as recommended it is much faster to hit the sensor.hope this helpsTy
