What problems will the intake cause in a car?
Seldom, if ever, do i see a bad intake. On the older aluminum V-8 intakes in the oldsmobile engines they used a steel intake gasket and the steel would corrode pits into the sealing surface which caused antifreeze leaks.
Most of the troubles that i see with intakes are with the intake gaskets going bad or with vacumn leaks caused by split vacumn hoses or a leaking intake gasket.
Can the Intake Manifold Gasket cause a car to stall RPM shifts up and down and when in a complete stop the engine wants to go into gear?
If the intake manifold gasket has failed then it can cause many issues. Air leaks, known as vacuum leaks, will cause an erratic idle, stalling, and fuel problems.
Not changing the transmission fluid in a car within 200K would cause problems.
It is the intake of nutrient which is tolerated by 98% of the population and if exceeded might cause health problems.
NO it will not, It will cause other problems like stoping up the heater core and radiator. You MUST replace the intake gaskets.
Watch your fluid intake Controlling Urine volume by restricting fluid intake can cause serious medical problems and is not recommended!
not exactly it will cause a vaccume leak and therfore cause the computer to compensate but not directly hurt the fuel injectors
YES, That would be called a vacuum leak.
THE CAUSE COULD BE A STUCK THERMOSTAT , OR A BLOWN HEAD GASKET, OR A LEAK IN THE INTAKE MANIFOLD OR INTAKE MANIFLOD GASKET. A CRACK IN THE INTAKE MANIFOLD IS VERY COMMON.. NORTY
Yes, it can cause hard starting.
traffic accidents are the main cause of spinal problems so i'd have to say yeah its very possible
Yep, will not start.
Dead battery, car will not start
Probably not, although it could lead to other problems which would cause your car not to start.
No. However, it can cause the car to run in "limp home" mode. No. However, it can cause the car to run in "limp home" mode.
Can cause emissions to be worse and if left long enough it can cause additional wear.
The intake and exhaust pushrods are different lengths. If you mix them up you can cause bent valves upon the first crank which would cause a no compression condition.
Friction causes wear and tear.
leaking intake gasket. gm is notorious for them
Yes over a period of time it can cause physical problems and even death..........
It could be any of a number of problems, including but not limited to electrical problems with the start and the final run of the car.
Carbon monoxide produced from the engine can cause health problems like death.
Many things can cause your engine to stall while driving. Running out of fuel will obviously cause your car to stall. A transmission fluid leak, causing your car to run out of transmission fluid will cause your car to stop where it is at. If your car battery dies your engine will stop. This could be from a bad alternator or from corrosion or bad/loose connection. In the fuel line, a bad fuel pump, not… Read More
if there was not friction then the car wont be able to move or drive
NO. That stuff will cause you more problems. You MUST replace the intake gaskets are you will wind up loosing the whole engine. OIL and engine coolant DON'T MIX.
Well, if humans cause global warming, then the CO2 and water vapor will cause problems.
Yes, it could restrict the exhaust and cause problems
if ti does not start and or run properly
The desire for more gasoline powered cars!
Fuel delivery problems like a dirty fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump. Could be in need of a tune up (worn spark plugs, bad spark plug wires). Could be a restricted exhaust (damaged catalytic converter). Could be restricted air intake (dirty air filter).
The more mileage on a car the more wear and tear on the engine and transmission witch in turn can cause it to have problems.
My moms 1991 Lumina LS 3100 v6 engine is overheating within 10 block every time she starts the car It is leaking water not coolant and the thermostat was just replaced Any suggestions?
3.1L V6 are famous for bad intake manifold gaskets that are made of plastic. See if you can find the source of the leak and how bad. Too much leaking could cause overheating problems. A bad water pump will also cause problems. btw, I blew my engine by not getting the intake manifold gasket repaired in a timely fashion. IF you have the money I would get it changed to avoid problems down the road.
Many problems could cause the car to stop accelerating. If the engine is running OK, then check a manual transmission for clutch problems, and an automatic transmission for possible slipping bands.
Ive installed a cold air intake in your car and now it wont run right all it does is sit there and idles really rough What could you have done to cause this problem?
When did you install a cold air intake in my car and why? I don't know what I could have done to cause the problem since I did not install it. The problem is you have messed up the fuel-air ratio somehow.
What are the symptoms of failing throttle position sensor in Mitsubishi Mirage Car will not idle when warm.?
A failing throttle position sensor will cause idling problems when the car is warm. The failing sensor can also cause the car to stall when idling.
There are several problems that could cause your car to jerk when slowing down. The most common cause would be a transmission problem.
you need to make your car be able to breathe better....cold air intake, or high flow intake. also performance exhaust, or drop in a lower gear tranny, although in cases of manual transmission this will cause more frequent shifts...
Intake or inlet manifold has nothing to do with the heating of the car. Newaz.
Hey Raequell==One thing that can cause it is a loose air cleaner or ducting in the air intake system. GoodluckJoe
You can short out the electrical system. Worse, you can take on water through the intake, which can lead to a number of serious problems.
Failed hose, water pump, freeze plug, intake gasket..........
You can try to put in less restrictive or colder air intake systems. This will cause your car or truck to have more power.
Quite possibly, yes. But so could about four dozen other things.
it's the air intake taking more air and the belts moving faster
A stuck open thermostat will cause a car to run cooler than needed. It will cause oil to sludge, a loss of gas mileage due to running rich and numerous other problems.
Not if the car belongs to you. The license plate isn't sold with the car. You take it off before you sell it.
I have a 2003 Saab 9-3 2.0t Linear. and i was wondering if i put the K&N 57I intake in my car, will it increase MPG on my car? some people say cold air intakes decrease turbo lag but wouldn't that cause less MPG?
It would be very unlikely. Fuel injectors give very little problems.
The car will start but it will run rough and will probably overheat and cause worse problems.
the intake manifold is what takes air coming from the intake and directs it to each intake valve in each cylinder
Yes it will cause it for sure. You will get DTC of P0170/P0173. Car will drive rough.
