A forensic anthropologist requires several qualities in order to complete their job effectively;
the ability to collect bones properly,
throrough knowledge of the bone changes that occur in a person's lifetime,
the ability to accurately measure bones to gather metric data,
the ability to collect non-metric data or make subjective observations (such as the frequency of traits in a population),
and the ability to testify in court according to the data and conclusions that he/she has made.
