You have a Fford 8.8 inch rear end. Look at axle code on vehicl door sticker or look at the rear end and find a tin tag. The second line of tag may look like: "55 88 6L11" 55 bean a 3.55 ratio. 88 meand 8.8 inch. If your number is different, perform searches on the internet for thr ratio. But you do have an 8.8 inch rear end.

This is from the 1987 Ford Econoline Do-it yourself manual FBS-12090-87. Rear Differential with a removable rear cover is 8.8 inch and a non-removable cover is 9 inch.
If it's not in the differential cover then it's in the side of the unit, probably a 3/8 drive square plug.
Follow the fuel line from the tank forward. It should be located on the frame just ahead of the rear wheel. It is an inline filter.

The radio battery constant 12v+ wire is green/yellow, the accessory switched 12v+ wire is yellow/black, the radio ground wire is the chassis, and the illumination wire is blue/red.
