Disney World has a wide variety of rides for people of all ages. Walt wanted the place to be where 'parents and kids could have fun together.' Here are the types found. === === Dark Rides are rides where you sit in a car boat, or other mode of transportation, and are shown scenes and displays. Often visual and felt effects such as wind of water are used. Just because there are no twists or turns does not mean these rides are appropriate for young children * Carousel of Progress * The Haunted Mansion * It's a Small World * The Many Adventures of Winnie the pooh * Peter Pan's Flight * Pirates of the Carribean * Snow Whites Scary Adventures * Astro Blasters * Space Ranger Spin * Living With The Land * The Seas With Nemo and Friends * The Great Movie Ride These are shown or attractions that do not move AT ALL. They are more like shows, but some can be a little frightening * Country Bear Jambouree * Dream Along With Mickey * The Enchanted Tiki Room-Under New Management * The Hall of Presidents * Mickey's PhilharMagic * Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor * Stitch's Great Escape * Honey! I Shrunk The Audience * Turtle Talk with Crush * It's Tough to be a Bug * Muppet*Vision 3D These rides are for everyone in the family, and are a little more tame then Roller Coasters. These include moving arm rides, spinning rides, and boat rides. * Astro Orbiter * Cinderella's Golden Carousel * Dumbo the Flying Elephant * Liberty Square Riverboat * Jungle Cruise * The Mad Teaparty * Magic Carpets of Aladdin * Rivers of America * Spaceship Earth * Primevil Whirl * Toy Story Midway Mania * TricraTop Spin These are intense thrill rides * The Barnstormer (kiddie) * Big Thunder Mountain Railroad * Space Mountain * Splash Mountain * Tomorowland Indy Speedway * Ellen's Energy Adventure * Test Track * Mission:SPACE * Soarin' * Dinosaur * Expedition Everest * Kali River Rapids * Kilimanjaro Safaris * Rockin Roller Coaster * Star Tours * Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Used merely for transportation * Tomorowland Transit Authority * The Monorail * The Boat into the park
Yes, there are actually several water rides in Epcot, none of them will get your party wet though. Maelstorm, The Three Cabelleros Ride, and Living with the land. All of them are pretty laid back and are fun to ride.
There are a lot.
Hmm...
- Splash Mountain - It's a Small World
- Thunder Mountain - Peter Pan
- Space Mountain - The Train
- Dumbo - The Rockets
- Aladdin - Buzz Lightyear
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - Stich
- Haunted Mansion - The Raft
- Pirates of the Caribbean - Winnie the Pooh
- The People Mover (the blue carts in Tomorrowland) - Tea Cups
- RaceTrack - Carosel
- Goofy Rollercoaster
That's all I can remember. There's probably more. :)
Epcot has two distinct parts to the park, Future World and the World Showcase. Most of the rides are located in the Future World section of the park.

Disneyland park has lots of rides. The matterhorn bobsleds are a roller coaster type of ride. It also has lots of kid rides like the merry go round and mr. Toads wild ride. The storybook land canal boats are for preschoolers but all people love that ride. The Casey jr. Circus train would be very good for a little kid to ride after they've ridden something scary. It's a small world would be great as well. To find out all the rides go to the Disneyland website.

Families visit Walt Disney World in order to have fun. They visit for the rides, the gift shops, the fun that they get out of it, and the smiles that they get from their children.
