The only animal you can cage with Chinchilla's are Degu's but even then there is a long introduction process and they are not guaranteed to get along. Talk to a breeder about how this is done.

Do cats eat chinchillas?

no but they eat nachos and oatmeal, whatever you think is wrongSorry, but cats do not eat nachos and oatmeal, don't know what you were thinking. But no cats normally wont eat a chinchilla. If you have a room that you have your chinchilla cage in that you can lock when you arent home that's fine. But when you are in there you can let the cats in. If they are cofertable you are fine, but if the chinchilla is scared of the cats it might attack!!! Always try to get the largest cage possible for your Chinchilla and remember they need space to move around in. Chinchillas love to climb and jump, so it is better to have a cage that is higher than it is wide and you can put up kiln dried wood shevles. The minimum size cage to get would be around 3 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet.
