Karl Marx could be considered the intellectual and philosophical leader of the Russian Revolution. Although he had died long before the revolution it was his ideas (along with Friedrich Engels) that sparked the political movements to overthrow the capitalist and autocratic government that was in place in 1917. His ideas on the evils of capitalism, the need to overthrow it in favor of socialism and the eventual conversion of socialism into communism led many to believe that the forms of government in place in many industrialized countries had to be replaced.
These Marxist thoughts led to the creation of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (RSDLP) whose members advocated the overthrow of capitalism in favor of socialism. One faction of this party was the Bolshevik Party led by Vladimir Lenin. When the first Russian Revolution occurred in February 1917, the Marxist RSDLP and other anti government parties, socialist and non-socialists) banded together to form the capitalist based Provisional Government. But by that time in Russia, the workers, soldiers and peasants were not content to remain under a capitalist system. Lenin used Marxist ideologies to convince the people that a Marxist system led by him and the Bolsheviks would be better than a capitalist system led by the ministers of the former government. Using Marxist Propaganda, Lenin engineered the Bolshevik/Communist Revolution in October 1917.
Karl Marx was a German philosopher who, in essence, founded Marxism and fueled ideas of communism. His famous works The Communist Manifesto and Das Capital influenced many revolutionaries around the world. In relation to the Russian Revolution, an avid follower of Marxism, Vladimir Lenin led Russia in order to overthrow the Czar/Tsar. In addition to this, Lenin created an interpretation of Marxism and named it Leninism. Marx has also influenced people such as Mao Zedong, the former Chinese communist leader.
Karl Marx created the idea of communism and upon reading the Communist Manifesto Lenin was inspired to bring communism to russia during a time many would embrace it due to enduring suffering and poverty.
Marx never personally persuaded the people of Russia to revolt against the Czar of Russia. Marx was already dead when the revolutions of 1903 and 1917 took place. Vladimir Lenin used Marx's ideas to convince the people of Russia that they were being oppressed by the Czar (which was true) and that they would be better off under communism (which they were not).
He was the one who put the first idea of the revolution into peoples minds

Lenin was the leader and hero of the October Revolution of 1917, but had nothing to do with the February Revolution in 1917. Stalin was a subordinate to Lenin at the time so he was not a leader at all. Karl Marx had died by the time of the revolution, so aside from planting the ideas of socialism, communism and a revolt by the people in their minds, he had nothing to do with the revolution itself. well this is helpfull

Well, he'd been dead for around two decades when the revolution happened, but he couldn't complain. It could be considered the proletariat revolution he predicted in his Communist Manifesto.

No. Marx died in 1883. The Russian Revolution. which was a series of three revolutions came later. The first revolution was in 1905, but was little more than a series of labor strikes. The second revolution was actually two in one which occurred in February 1917 and October 1917. The third revolution was a revolution against the Bolsheviks who took power in the October 1917 revolution. This one failed.

Karl Marx's ideas on class struggle, revolution, and the overthrow of capitalism provided a theoretical framework for the Bolsheviks to mobilize support and seize power during the Russian Revolution. The Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, believed in Marx's vision of a proletarian revolution and used it as a blueprint for their own revolutionary activities in Russia. Marx's ideas also influenced the Bolsheviks' approach to social and economic policies following their victory in 1917.
