Select Inverse will invert selection, if you have selected circle in the middle of the image, inverse will make that only circle is not selected but everything else in the image.
To change your preferences in Photoshop you click on Photoshop on the top left of your screen, select Preferences and then select whatever it is you want to change.

To import multiple photos into one photoshop document go to file>scripts>load files into stack. You can then browse and select your images. To select them all at the same time hold down the command key as you select each image.
