A can of tuna, a bowl of milk, pieces of cooked chicken, or cooked egg might be alternatives to cat food to try.
EDIT:
PLEASE do not give the cat milk! Many cats are lactose intolerant and will become sick after drinking cow's milk. Leave out water instead or specially formulated milk made for cats and kittens.

∙ 13y agoIf you see a stray cat, DO NOT take it home with you. It could have anything it picked up off the street and transfer that to you. At the least, leave it alone. At the best, tell your local animal shelter. They will hopefully find the poor kitty and take care of him til'(if, that is) he can be adopted. It's better for you(you don't get sick) and for the cat(he gets rescued and gets a new home).
