Obviously you don't really want to stay with your husband; why are you dating someone else, then? You have already stated he is abusive and you know someone who is able to take far better care of you.
Accept the fact that your hussband is, for lack of better terms, a dangerous and unloving person. Divorce him and pursue the relationship with the other man, provided he is not married himself and would be accepting of the idea.
