All you can do is get to know her better. Her reputation for past behavior may be following her and she may not be doing that anymore. Treat her with respect to the person she is, do not request "slutty" behavior or quiz her, and see where the relationship goes. If it comes up among your friends, do not defend in detail but rather say that she is your girl and do not add to the rumors. If her reputation will bother you and cause you to act badly, do not get involved.

It depends on how you see it. If you only want sex, you won't do either one of you any good. If you truly like her, then show her respect. I suggest that you get to know her a lot more and understand whatever behavior before you make any further decision.
