For one, absolutely DO NOT give your address, phone number, or anything that could be used to track you. Using a first name is okay. A state is okay. A city or town is crossing the border a bit. I would refrain from doing that. Just be smart, and youll be fine. Archer5
On social media sites don't give out your real Address, name, phone number, photos (Unless it's like facebook and only your friends can see them.), No PERSONAL info.
Only give out factual information on secure websites if you are 100% sure it/they are genuine.
Banks will have secure sites, but never answer questions from them that ask for your password, username, account numbers, etc. (Sometimes crooks send emails saying there is a security breach and they need your details to correct it. Or something similar). The banks already know your info and do not ask you for it online. Any emails you receive asking for information such as that will be from fraudsters pretending to be from your bank or any other financial institution. They set up false email addresses that look similar to your banks in the hope that you click on reply and give them the info they want. They then withdraw all your money with the details you gave away in your reply!
If you ever get an email supposedly from your bank that you are unsure about, do not click any of the reply buttons, but look up your banks correct address or phone number and call them personally to check if it was a genuine email or not that was sent to you.
