A 2001 Pathfinder has 6.5" speakers in all 4 doors and 2 tweeters above the dash. They have Bose amplifiers on the individual 6.5" speakers. The door panels must be removed to access the speakers. Begin by popping off the switch bezel and arm rest. Remove the 4 screws under the arm rest and then carefully pop loose the door panel itself. It will then lift up and off.
Try to use the Nissan speaker adapters plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess up the electric system, you can get those from eBay or amazon.
