The 6 bolt holes in the back of the block are tapped 3/8-16. Make sure the bolts are long enough to have 1/2" of threads in the block. Minimum grade 5 bolts, grade 8 highly recommended.
The tapped holes in the bell housing are usually 1/2-13, but watch for 7/16-14 which occurs in rare occasions.
t5 tranny, what size bolts secure the tranny to the bellhousing?
once you have the bellhousing, any gm trans will bolt up. camaro and firebird trans will require special crossmember.they mount at an angle.
There are 6 bolts that hold the trans. to the engine block.
If you are asking about an automatic trans....it should be 6.
remove the bellhousing bolts, Remove the converter bolts, Remove the crossmember, disconnect all elecrical connections and linkage, support trans by pan, and lower out of vehicle.
The starter should be between the engine and trans on the right side of the truck. Disconnect battery, remove wire from starter to battery. There should only be 3 bolts attaching the starter to the trans bellhousing.
MINE GETS ONLY ABOUT 10 MILES TO THE GALLON??
Yes, most gm parts are now all compatible in most any rear wheel application.
the crank sensor is located in the transmission bellhousing on the lower passenger side where the trans bolts to the engine almost right above the right axle shaft.
it depends it could have either the 4 speed auto or 5 speed manual the z28 came with both options
theres a lot to try to explain but i'll try.Remove air cleaner assembly[easier to get to top of trans]All sensors need to be disconnected, drain fluid [plug on drain pan] makes it a little lighter, remove cooler hoses at top, remove shift linkage[top of trans],remove torque convertor bolts and speedometer cable.Remove top trans mount bolts, jack up car to remove front tires, then remove cotter pins and nuts from front axles,it's also easier if you remove the plastic inner wheel wells, you'll have to split lower ball joints to pull out hubs and remove front axles from trans, now, remove all trans bellhousing bolts, leaving in two loose ones to hold trans in place, jack up car high enough to get trans out from under car-SUPPORT CAR- put trans jack under trans and remove two bellhousing bolts, trans is ready to come out,you may have to pry to get it loose
Yes, the NV3500
