In your glove compartment, there should be a sticker with a list of RPO codes for that vehicle. You probably have either 3.42s or 3.73s... 3.08s aren't unheard of, either.
Look at the RPO codes... if you see any of these, you'll know what your rear end ratio is...

GT4 = 3.73
GT5 = 4.10
GT7 = 3.33
GT8 = 4.10
GU3 = 2.93
GU4 = 3.08
GU5 = 3.23
GU6 = 3.42
GU8 = 3.90
GU9 = 3.91

My memory's not 100%, but I believe these are the ones typically used on GM light duty trucks. GM has several others in use, as well, but I've excluded the ones I believe not to be in use on trucks or used on heavy duty trucks.

The chevy 10 bolt was used in the c1500's from late 1988-1999.
