Why wont my 1989 gmc 1500 start new starter new battery just clicks ran when parked night before help?

Could be a bad positive wire leading from the battery to the starter. Could be a bad solenoid (if you didn't replace it with the starter)Try to crank the motor by hand to make sure its not locked up. To do this, get a breaker bar and the socket that fits the nut in the middle of the cam pulley (lowest pully on front of truck)
