My 1997 Chevy Cavalier with 2.2L motor used a 15mm socket.
A 3/8" Allen socket or wrench will work.
the caliper bolts require a 3/8" Allen wrench. You can buy these as a socket at just about any parts store.
3/8 inch Allen, a socket Allen works the best
Why do caliper bolts back out on a Chevy K5 Blazer 4*4?
My 2003 Cavalier uses a 3/8 hex key. It probably should be the same.
Remove the wheel, remove the two caliper bolts and hang the caliper with a wire or bungee cord: you don't want any pressure on the brake hose. Then remove the two caliper carrier bolts and remove the carrier. The rotor just slides off after that.
A 3/8" Allen wrench is used to r&r the caliper bolts.
NEED help is there a diagram with the bolts in the backseat of a 1998 chevy cavalier?
14mm socket is used for main mounting bolts, there are two. The caliper alignment pins use 12mm
I believe that needs a 3/8 Allen or some models, 7mm Allen.
a 12 mm socket 2 bolts on the back of the caliper
