On VH1 channel, cycle one commercial, its called VH1 dancing, and somewhere in the middle of the video, there is a crop of a music video with a guy dancing around a transvestite with a blonde wig and blue dress, around a pool table. I will appreciate if someone knows that song.
hey guys its "right round" by florida.......... enjoy the song!!!!!!!!!!
Slash has been quoted as having a disdain for the song due to its roots as simply a 'string skipping' exercise and a joke at the time. In a VH1 special, it was stated that Slash played the riff in a jam session as a joke.
Definitely! I just figured that out myself. I thought it was Jboog in all of those VH1 Couple's Therapy previews
"Some Like It Hot" was the debut single from The Power Station album, a self titled album by a band comprised of John & Andy Taylor (on hiatus from Duran Duran) and former Chic band mates Tony Thompson and Bernard Edwards. Palmer was a late addition to the group. John Taylor had asked Palmer to write lyrics for some musical tracks the band had composed (one of them would become "Some Like It Hot"). Impressed, John pushed the band to give Palmer a try out as lead singer. The rest of the band were impressed and Palmer helped co-write most of the songs on their debut album. "Some Like It Hot" was released in early spring 1985 and hit the Top 20 in the UK and peaked at No. 6 on the US Charts. The album was US million seller, hitting the Top 10 of the US album charts and the Top 40 in the UK. Palmer left the band shortly before a scheduled summer tour in 1985 to continue working on his upcoming solo album, which would become Riptide, his biggest US success. That album produced the hit singles "Addicted To Love" and "I Didnt't Mean To Turn You On". Andy Taylor, Edwards, and Thompson all made contributions to the Riptide set. Durng the summer of 1985 another Power Station single "Get It On (Bang A Gong)" was released, hitting the Top 10 in the US. Palmer adopted "Some Like It Hot" into his solo act live and played routinely in concert until his death. He used to open his shows during his giant 1988 and 1991 tours, and also performed it as part of VH1 television concert special in 1997.
