Accel makes shorty plugs that will work. Cross over a AC R44T to the Accel or if you drive a lot in town, cross a AC R45TS.

4x4 will jerk when accel. especially while turning. It is alot of torque on all four wheels pulling at the same time. You should only accel slowly with 4x4 on, especially in 4x4 low.
The temp sensor should be under the headers on the drivers side about middle way it it hard to see besauce of the headers if you can find the singal wire that plugs into it you can follow it down to it .
adding headers will allow engine to breath better and boost up horsepower but not by much, headers also make you vehicle louder with pipes.
